Fractional Chief Operating Officer

AIRA is the 501(c)(3) membership association behind immunization information systems, the data infrastructure used to fight vaccine-preventable disease. The organization is remote-first and growing, and it needs a fractional COO to lead its next phase.

This is an operating role, not a limited advisory assignment. The COO partners with the Executive Director to assess the operating model, redesign structures and processes where needed, and implement the systems and internal controls a growing organization requires. The role also advises the incoming Development Director consultant as AIRA diversifies revenue.

They want at least 10 years of progressively responsible operations or executive management experience, a record of leading organizations through growth or restructuring, and strong financial acumen. Nonprofit, association, or public health experience preferred. Up to 20 hours a week. At the full commitment the hourly rate works out to roughly $182K to $234K a year.
