Five startups graduated from the inaugural gBETA Charlotte Health cohort at The Pearl. SKG Lifesciences joined Advisory5 right after. Here is what is moving in Charlotte health tech this month.
gBETA Charlotte Health — First Cohort Graduates
The inaugural gBETA Charlotte Health cohort wrapped at The Pearl. Five health startups closed out the program, each with a sharper investor-facing story and a foot inside Charlotte's growing health innovation infrastructure.
“AI cardiac diagnostics making the heart's hidden signals actionable for every clinician.”
“Streamlining access to diagnostic testing by navigating fragmented lab data.”
“Next-generation antimicrobial solutions to combat antibiotic resistance.”
“Compostable, single-use breast pump components for maternal health.”
“Bioelectrically enabled smart bandage to accelerate healing for diabetic ulcers.”
A second cohort is expected soon. Interested startups and mentors can reach out to amory@gener8tor.com.
SKG Lifesciences Joins Advisory5
Gregory Roberts and SKG Lifesciences joined Advisory5 directly after graduating from gBETA Charlotte Health. Their first advisory board session was held in June.
SKG is building a bioelectrically enabled smart bandage to accelerate healing for diabetic ulcers — a meaningful next step for both the startup and Charlotte's wound care innovation pipeline.
